If UKIP are now in favour of “Independence” in the broadest sense is it safe to assume they want independence FROM the UK, along with everything else?
After all, this is going to be a pretty big theme in the 2007 elections, at least if you are in Scotland or Wales (and Northern Ireland for that matter, assuming the elections there actually go ahead). It would be a tad confusing to say “We want to give everyone more independence. Apart from the Scots and the Welsh. Or the English and the Northern Irish now we come to think about it.”
I can’t help but think Farrago is being a bit too clever by half here.
